BEN MARKS
I have always had a passion for film and the visual since I can remember. I began this journey in school becoming an actor in the NSW State Drama Company, performing all over the state. I then went on to graduate from UNSW in Film Studies, where I dug deep into film theory and history, before moving onto studying film production at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School.
I have a passion for both sides of the screen and understand the importance of being fluent in both to be good at either. To satisfy this and bring it full circle, I then studied at the Actor’s Centre Australia, and continued my growth and understanding of the world in front of the camera.
In front or behind, the common underpinning for success in either realm is attention to good story, and this has informed my creative philosophy. This accumulation of knowledge over the last 15 years has manifested itself in a very well rounded creative who can tackle almost any creative storytelling scenario. I am energised and excited to make my mark on the world of film, photography and storytelling.
